OUR  HERITAGE

The Mee Hoon Kueh Story

Our story began in the late 2000s, when an elderly couple we deeply admire mastered the art of traditional banmian under the guidance of their mentor. With years of dedication and patience, they perfected each bowl—from hand-pulled noodles to rich, flavorful broths. In 2010, they opened their humble stall, serving bowls of mee hoon kueh that carried both authenticity and nostalgia.

What made their cooking special was their unwavering commitment to tradition. They crafted their broth from pork bones and solefish, a recipe passed down through generations that set them apart from many modern stalls that chose faster, easier methods. For more than a decade, their stall became a place where regulars returned not just for the food, but also for the comfort and familiarity it brought.

In 2024, we proudly stepped in as the next generation, carrying forward this treasured legacy. To us, it is more than just noodles—it is a heritage, a memory, and a taste of home. While we remain faithful to the original recipes and cooking methods, we are also introducing fresh twists, new flavors, and a broader reach so that more food lovers can discover the story behind every bowl.

This is not just about continuing a business—it is about honoring the past while stepping into the future, ensuring that the craft of handmade mee hoon kueh lives on for years to come.
